Armistead Burwell Smith IV and Rob Crow form Pinback, whose next album is due to be released in 2010. I’m hoping sooner rather than later since it has been a couple of years since their last album Autumn Seraphs was released. Nonetheless, I’ve loved all of their albums and their shows have been fantastic. I won’t attempt to describe their sound, as I won’t do it justice. Emusic describes them as postmodern indie pop, whatever that means (seriously, someone tell me what that means if you know). Checkout Pinback’s myspace page and get your tickets here. We’ll meet upstairs in the volcano room at 8 p.m. Just as an FYI, for some unknown reason, members have had a difficult time finding us upstairs. If you don’t see us initially, you’ll have to walk a bit closer to the tables to see if there is a sign on one of the tables, even if you feel a little creepy when doing so. If you do this, we will likely notice you lurking about before you even see the sign and lead you in the right direction.
