It’s non-show meetup time again. For those of you who have never been to one of these, we simply hang out at a bar. This is one of our highest turn-out events and a great way to meet your fellow CIRF-ers without paying for a concert ticket. The folks at Schubas have been generous enough to host us in their lovely space upstairs, so we’re hoping for a good turn out.
At this particular non-show meetup, we will be playing your top songs of 2009, based on the input so many of you contributed on the message board. Extra incentive to come hang out with us.

    Hey guys. This is last minute, but I just found out that a band from my hometown (IN MISSOURI) is touring through Chicago tonight. If you feel like seeing some music after the meetup, come over to the Bird's Nest. The band name is Speakeasy, and they put on a fantastic show.

    And we think that upstairs at Schubas can fit about 100, so I would recommend getting there earlier rather than later! Maybe we should do a sign-in so we know who made it?

    This is a first for us, having a non-show at a venue we frequent. And frequent a lot! :) Excited to hear the CIRF Top Songs of 2009 on pumpin' on the stereo.

    If you're interested and have never seen a show at Schubas before, playing downstairs that night is GB Leighton with Jack Callahan. Tix are $12 on the Schubas website or at the door.
