Showtime 9pm. Headliners on probably around 11pm.
Meet at Schubas in the bar at 9pm Look for the fancy laminated tabletop Meetup sign! I'll only wait until 9:20pm before heading into the show, so please let me know if you'll be late.

About the Bands:
The Yearbooks: Self-described rock 'n' roll band formed in Chicago in 2009. They are currently unsigned. The band was recently written up in the Chicago Sun Times--specifically that they are obviously talented and yet they have a bare-bones website and single track to listen to... Not enough self-promotion I guess, so lets give them a little help!

Bengal Lancer: Synopsis from their Myspace: The vaudevillian blood runs thick in this brother sister nod to their Ballroom Jazz and Big Band matriarchs. Merging the Whitney siblings experimental, postmodern sensibilities, with those handed down to them from two generations of songwriters, Bengal Lancer features dueling vocals, lo-fi indie rock, and thoughtful, anthemic songwriting. The result is a sound that draws from influences like Ella and Judy and pulls them through the filter of Sonic Youth. Currently, the band is working in the studio for their upcoming EP release.

Netherfriends: The headliner! They are celebrating the release of their full-length album tonight. Their EP Calling You Out as well as a 3-song disc are available on eMusic. You can read more about them when you buy your tickets. Check out their ooky website.

Should have gone in for the Yearbooks--next time will definitely make the effort! Was pleasantly surprised by Bengal Lancer, wish I had like Netherfriends a bit more. Loved the EP, maybe I just am not so into what's on the new album.

I had no idea who was with the meetup--didn't see a sign. Yearbook & Bengal Lancer were great; after 3 songs I found Netherfriends a tad pretentious for my palate; so I traded them off for sleep.

Yearbooks Rocked! but only half of the crowd was liking it. Stupid crowd. :p Netherfriends where good to, but not my taste though. Bengal Lancer where alright. Did know where the group was, or who was from the group. I went with my friend.
