Boy-oh-boy! Woods and Real Estate on the same bill!?!? Talk about being in lo-fi indie rock heaven!

Real Estate has been described as dreamy lo-fi pop, and Pitchfork had their last album (creatively self titled) Real Estate in the top 50 albums of the year. Fresh off a tour with Girls, they are now
touring with the other amazing band of the night Woods!

Woods latest album Songs of Shame, has also earned a spot in Pitchfork's top albums of 2009. Their style has been described as an elusive brand of dark lo-fi... this mixed with Real Estate's almost surf type sound, should make for quite the show!

Meetup: 8:30 @ Clarke's Bar and Grill 2445 North Lincoln Avenue, it's basically right across the street from Lincoln Hall, and I will be in the bar area (right next door to the diner). I will try and grab a front booth or table, and will have my handy-dandy purple CIRF table-top sign with me!

Great show, good work Angela! Two meet-ups in two weeks for us, and I got to drive her and Jason home! IMHO, I thought Real Estate was amazing live, Woods was good, but less folksy and more psychadelic live.

Real Estate were pretty good. Woods were better live then on record. It was great meeting more of the good people in CIRF.
