Hey everyone! I know Silversun Pickups has hit the mainstream, but I always enjoy their shows. Hopefully they can work through the crappy sound at the Aragon :)

Where: Let's meet at Fat Cat, just around the corner from the Aragon. It can get a little crowded, so be sure to check out the entire place - there's a back area that can be easily missed around the pool tables. Should be relatively empty this early, though!

When: 6:00 - we'll most likely skip the first opener and go check out Against Me.

Silversun Pickups is an American alternative/shoegaze band which formed in Los Angeles, California, United States in 2005. The band consists of Brian Aubert (vocals, guitar), Nikki Monninger (bass, vocals), Joe Lester (keyboards) and Christopher Guanlao (drums). The band members are friends who had played together previously or in mutual friends’ bands. The band is signed to Dangerbird Records. They released their debut EP “Pikul” in July of 2005. The band has released two albums, 2006’s “Carnavas” and 2009’s “Swoon”.

Against Me! is a punk rock band originally from Naples, Florida, and later relocated to Gainesville, Florida. They are known for their heavily folk-influenced sound and energetic live shows (Spin named them one of the 25 greatest live bands in 2006). Their first full-length album, released on No Idea Records in 2002, was the highly-acclaimed Reinventing Axl Rose. In December 2005, they signed to Sire Records, and released their major label debut, New Wave, on July 10, 2007.
