Announcing a new Meetup for Chicago Indie Rock Fans!

I have wanted to see Deerhunter for a really long time and am finally getting the chance. They describe themselves as ambient punk. According to ohmyrockness.com, “[t]his band’s live show has been known to blow minds.” I can’t verify that but I absolutely loved their album Microcastle and their Rainwater Cassette Exchange EP. Their new album, Halcyon Digest, will be released on September 28, 2010. Real Estate is opening, so those of you who missed our Real Estate meetup back in March are getting a second chance. Get your tickets here.
We will meet next door to the Metro at the Gingerman Tavern at 9 p.m. Look for our sign. If you don’t see us at first, keep looking. I promise you we will be there.
