Hey everybody!

The year is coming to a close, and all the media outlets are releasing their tops of 2009! While this is great, we'd like you to share YOUR favorites of the year with our group.

Right now, there are two threads in the CIRF message board:

If you want to have fun going through the year's best, or have already decided on your favs, then go ahead and post. It's always interesting to see what people have picked, and see how close or different your list is with other people's. Also, anything that gets posted in the Best Songs of 2009 thread will be on rotation at our next non-show meetup in February (subject to availability of the song).

And as a side note, the organizers of the Chicago Indie Rock Fans Meetup Group are always looking for suggestions on how to make our meetup group better. We have just instituted a feature that may make member meetup suggestions easier, as well as helping members find other people to go to shows with for non-scheduled events. It's called "Ideas for Meetups" and you can access it via the Calendar link from the left hand navigation bar, or click right here http://www.chicagoindierockfans.net/calendar/suggest/. Of course, we still encourage you to use the message board to suggest meetups or exchange tickets or find other peeps to go to shows with.
