Hey everybody,

This thread is for all our members who are in their own bands as well as for our members that are interested in seeing what music people in our group put out.

The CIRF organizers are very interested in our members' bands. We do get requests to do meetup events for our members, and while we try to be very supportive, we can't guarantee that we'll make the show a meetup, but we don't mean to disregard your shows entirely. So if you have any upcoming shows or releases or just want to promote yourself, this is the place to do it. Also, feel free to post suggestions for meetups in our new "ideas for meetups" section that is located as a tab on the Calendar page. Please note that we're more likely to add a member's show as a meetup if that member comes to CIRF meetup events. Also, please try to keep all posts regarding your shows in this thread. The organizers will clean out old, no longer relavant posts, from time to time.

And if you're not in a band, feel free to check back in this thread to see if there's any upcoming shows by our very own. Also, be sure to check the "ideas for meetups" page as well.

Hi everyone!

First of all, thanks to those of you who came to see my band Foreign Powder at Beat Kitchen last month!!

We have two new shows coming up:

A rooftop party on Sept. 10, 2011. We will play around 7:00pm alongside our friends from The Day Lewis and The Earth Program. If you came to the last rooftop palooza, you know it will be big.

Second, we will be playing Beat Kitchen with The Super Happy Fun Club on Oct. 28. We are really excited about being able to open for them. It will be the SHFC's going away to Europe show, right before their tour. This show will likely sell out, so get your tickets soon!
